5 Reasons Why HP Slate Is Able to Beat iPad

Recently, there have been a lot of rumors concerning the death of the HP Slate which is based on Windows 7. Actually, HP intends to leverage its acquisition of Palm by developing a tablet based on a new WebOS, known as “Hurricane.” It looks like that the company has understood that the iPad is regarded as a unique tablet device.

Nowadays a range of tablet-like devices are under development, but all of them have similar hardware. There are five reasons due to which HP Hurricane tablet can become a competitor for the iPad.
1 Adobe Flash
Such platforms as WebOs as well as Android are collaborating with Android in order to create develop Flash software which will be compatible with their mobile platforms. Of course, HTML5 can become our future, but one should mot deny that still Adobe Flash is considered to be a ubiquitous standard.
2. Dual Cameras.
As a matter of fact, having dual cameras is an option that will come in handy although a tablet device may be cumbersome to take shots.

A front-facing camera can become more important for business professionals as it can be used for different face-to-face video conferencing solutions as well as Skype video calls.
3. Expandability.
At present the iPad does not have SD memory card slots or USB ports. In fact, business professionals need an opportunity to plug in a USB and copy or read files. One should admit that if an HP Hurricane is available with a SD memory card slot as well as USB port, it will be a huge advantage.
4. Distribution channels.
Actually, an HP Hurricane tablet is able to beat the iPad due to distribution channels. As a matter of fact, HP has a vendor relationship with major corporations.
5. HP brand.
HP has a respected reputation in the worlds of business. I think the company made a wise decision in switchung from the Windows 7 to WebOS.
