Apple Approved Opera Mini Mobile Browser

Apple-Approved-Opera-Mini-Mobile-Browser On Monday it was announced by Opera Software that its version of Opera mini mobile browser for the iPhone was approved by Apple. Already by Monday evening users could download the browser from the App Store which is offered for free.

In February the company finished the work on its version of browser that is specifically designed for the iPhone. Then Opera software announced its attempt to submit the version to Apple in order the company could approve as well as distribute it. In fact, such a move was regarded as risky as Apple has been dodgy on this subject. As a matter of fact, Apple announced that browsers which are not based on the technology of Mobile Safari can be installed on the iPhone OS platform.

Still Opera Mini had a few things that have to be improved as well as included. It is not considered to be a full-fledged client-side app that is based on its own server-side functionality in order it could be possible to handle a big part of manipulation tasks as well as content rendering consisting of executing and interpreting JavaScript code.

It was not a surprise that Opera announced the company submitted the browser to get approval from Apple on March 23. Moreover, Opera created a web page in order to look after the time during which the app was under the approval process. As a result the company got its approval after three weeks.

Opera Mini is able to run on all iPhone Operating System devices that are based on the operating system, version 2.2.1.
