Apple (NASDAQ AAPL) Stock News: App Store Outages Affects Apple Users

Some Apple iOS and Mac users reported download problems within the AppStore on Friday morning. On Friday morning, some Apple Inc (NASDAQ AAPL) iOS and Mac users reported AppStore outages that prevented them from downloading new apps. This issue started about half an hour ago.

Some of the users reported obtuse error messages but others reported paused downloads. The availability most likely affects App Store region, however reports from Twitter claim the issues originally started even earlier at 6:30 am Pacific Standard Time.

At press time, Apple has yet to confirm issues on it’s system service status page. This news is still relatively new. There is no report on whether this problem includes iTunes.

In other AppStore related news, Apple recently updated the AppStore for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users. It was one of the few apps/features that that was not updated with the iOS launch in September. It was a minor update to the direct iOS Portal the the online storefront. It came with some nice graphical improvements for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users.

The screenshots show the update is fully compatible with larger 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch high definition Retina displays. Before this release, the app used the mobile operating system’s upscaling feature to increase the font and graphical size fonts which were not native to high resolution screens.

What’s more with Apple Store version 3.0.1 update is that it contains unnamed iOS compatibility update. The new upgrade is free and takes up 25MB of space.
