This summer the iPhone 4.0 software is going to appear on Apple’s popular devices. The software will be available with a range of upgrades such as so-awaited multi-tasking capability with the help of which one can use a couple of applications simultaneously.

Moreover, a version of the iPhone’s operating system is also going to be used on the iPad and the software will be available for the tablet device this fall.

The new platform developed for the iPad as well as iPhone is called iAd which is considered to be the first push of Apple into the market. It is believed that it is able to please thousands of application developers who manufacture tablet devices.

Analysts were surprised by the sales of the iPad as some of them expected that 1 million units would be sold by the end of June and only about 5 millions in this year, but still estimations are different.

According to Jobs, the company is developing the software as fast as it is possible, but unfortunately, it is unable to create enough of them for that reason Apple will try its best.

As a matter of fact, the company has strengthened its reputation due to the 9.7-inch touchscreen tablet that is considered to be a cross between a laptop as well as a smartphone.

Although there is a lot of critics whether such a device need to exist, but still annalists are waiting for other such tablet devices from  Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and also others to showcase their own rival devices this year.

As the iPad became available in the market on April 3, since that time users have downloaded 600,000 digital books as well as 3.5 million applications for the iPad. 3,500 apps are already available for the tablet device.
