It looks like the Verizon’s iPhone 4 follows the steps of the AT&T’s iPhone 4. The mobile device remains un-recommended because of signal-damping issues of the exterior antenna rim.
Consumer Reports revealed that it would not recommend the iPhone 4 of Verizon. It turned out that the Verizon iPhone 4 has the problem similar to the one found in the AT&T’s iPhone 4, i.e. signal issues.
Despite the fact that the Verizon iPhone has high ranking, Consumer Reports decided not to include the handset into the list of recommended samrtphones. In fact, the possibility of drop calls exists as low signal conditions are unavoidable when it comes to taking advantage of any cell-phone network.
After the launch of the iPhone 4 on AT&T last year, Apple was making attempts to battle a crisis, dubbed “Antennagate.” At that time a lot of users were complaining of drop calls. In order to solve the problem Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, offered a free rubber bumper, which covered the rim.
As a result, Consumer Reports reacted adversely to the bumper policy of Apple. It revealed that it was less consumer-friendly in a couple of respects. It continued to maintain its non-recommendation.
Reports over the past several weeks revealed that the iPhone 4 of Verizon came across the same signal attenuation problems of its predecessor. Despite of given reports about antenna issue, the iPhone 4 sales would not dampen. Still let’s see if the latest findings of Consumer Reports turn away customers from the Verizon iPhone 4.
