There is a bit of concern going around for gamers that are intending to buy the new Nintendo DSi XL, as it seems the games from the original DSi will not be able to be transferred and played on the newer system. While people are excited about the release of the DSi XL, not being able to play the games they already own is putting a damper on their spirits. In fact, having to buy the same game twice to play on another system is making some people give up hope of even buying the DSi XL.
Nintendo Searching for Fixes to Enable Game Transference
The DSi XL is the fourth generation of the infamous Nintendo DS handheld system and sports a dual touch screen and is the smallest version of the DS gaming system to date. The screens measure a tiny 4.2 inches and it weighs only 314 grams. The best thing about it is the added software that has been built into the system, making this the most powerful DS that has hit the market as well.
While Nintendo hasn’t said whether or not they have a fix for the issue of the games not being compatible, they have said they are looking into it. As of right now, there is no other way to get around the issue of game compatibility other than buying the game twice, and that is something that a lot of people just aren’t that interested in doing. Hopefully, Nintendo will have a fix for this issue soon after it’s released.
