Celanese Corporation (NYSE:CE) has announced plans to build a compounding facility for its “Fortron” polyphenylene sulphur (PPS) compounds at the group’s integrated production complex in Nanjing / China. Phil McDivitt, vice president and general manager of the engineered materials business (formerly Ticona), said the expansion – for which capacity was not disclosed – is in response to “impressive growth” in demand in China and the broader Asian region. Celanese Corporation (NYSE:CE)’s stock on Apr 24, 2014 reported a decrease of -0.65% to the closing price of $59.20. Its fifty two weeks range is $43.57 -$61.82. The total market capitalization recorded $9.23billion. The overall volume in the last trading session was 860.2K shares. In its share capital, CE has 155.93million outstanding shares.

CP announced in January that it would sell the west end of its DM&E line to Genesee & Wyoming Inc.
