iPad 2 to Be Launched in April or February…

 iPad-2

According to rumors, the upcoming tablet is headed for an April – 2011 release date, which seems quite exciting. To back up the tumors, several sources at DigiTimes said that Apple placed orders for a “new” tablet, in collaboration with Foxconn manufacturers.

Yes, the Chinese manufacturer received order for 400,000 to 600,000 new tablets that will probably get released any time soon. Also, some “random” Taiwanese based manufacturers have been dropping details about the iPad 2, as they said that they’ve supplied some spare parts to Apple and Foxconn for a new and upcoming device. The only “new” and “upcoming” device that’s on Apple’s list is the iPad 2.

Still to come, we have some speculations concerning the new device as people tout it to be lighter, faster and more efficient. I’m thinking of a thin built, fast processor and memory core units with FaceTime sort of applications embedded in it. Also, a 3- Axis Gyroscope camera will provide good performance in collaboration with FaceTime. But, we all know that FaceTime isn’t popular in the market. the reason is simple, the iPhone 4 and the iPad are expensive commodities and the person whom you want to have a little chit chat through FaceTime, needs to have the same device at his or her end. Oh, and let me straighten out the kink here, the iPad one isn’t on friendly terms with FaceTime.

Meanwhile, we haven’t heard a lot from Android guys, except for the fact the Google is going to release the Nexus S smartphone. Other than that, the company is keeping a tight lid on all its business deals. Let’s keep our eyes open for any upcoming news.
