iPad 3: Rumors or Reality?

 iPad-3

According to an Analyst, Apple is working on a new device that has a screen size, which falls in between of the iPad as well as iPhone.

According to Apple Insider,Ming-Chi Kuo, Concord Securities analyst, described a device that would be released in the second half of the year. Other reports suggest that the screen size can be about 6 or 5 inches.

Apple watchers consider that Apple will not release an “iPad mini” which is equipped with a 6-inch screen as Steve Jobs, Apple chief, gave disparaging remarks about small tablets, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Offering a 6-inch screen on an iPod touch which is focused on multimedia and gaming apps will mean that Apple is going to release a product that is technically labeled as a tablet.

According to Kuo, one can expect an iPad 3 which will come with a screen supporting the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Initially, it was expected that we would be able to see the Retina screen on the iPad 2, but due to supply issues the tablet will not have it. Recent rumors about the iPad 3 are focused on new features, such as support for Version 5.1 of Apple iOS as well as HD capabilities.

Although Apple has not even announced the second-generation iPad, still reports suggest that the company is already working on the iPad 3, which will soon be announced.

Due to explosive sales of iPad, Apple is on the #3 position in PC sales across the world. According to Apple, it has managed to sell 7.33 million iPad units during its recently reported fiscal quarter.
