iPad Sold Out?

iPad-Sold-Out When Apple announced the release of its iPad in January, most people weren’t all that impressed. In fact, some were going so far as to crack jokes about it being related to feminine hygiene products, and how it lacked certain features that would make it crash out before it was to hit the market on April 3rd. It seems that they were all wrong, and Apple could be laughing all the way to the bank this time, just like it did with the iPhone release. If the rumors are true to life, Apple could surpass iPhone with its launch.
iPads May Pass 5 Million Mark in Sales
A report by Forbes states that Apple could end up selling 1.2 million iPad’s by June, and over 5 million in the first year of sales. This would take iPad past Kindle’s mere 3 million sales to date and push Apple well into the lead for tablet based technology. Even if you take the more conservative figures of 2.5 million in the first year, Apple is still taking the world by storm.

With the release just around the corner for the iPad, the Wall Street Journal says that “hundreds of thousands” of iPad’s have already been preordered, and that demands will be nearly as high as with the release of the infamous iPhone. Apple is banking on the fact that people with iPhones are going to stand in line to get their hands on the new iPad just like they did with the iPhone. There is a good chance that it will happen, too.
