This week Mozilla had a discussion concerning its major upgrade, i.e. Firefox 4. It is expected that the company is going to draw its attention towards such features as better speed, HTML 5 technologies, and simpler user interface. Mozilla discussed some features that are expected to be included in Firefox 4 and offered several sneak peeks.
Take a look at several interesting features that you may be see in the next version of the browser.
User Interface
Mozilla wants to make a simpler user interface, trying to do away unnecessary buttons. The interface does not have the home, stop as well as reload buttons. Moreover, the stop button got its own tab, the stop button was completely removed, as for the reload button, you can find it in the browser entry bar.
Home Tabs
Firefox is thinking to remove the home button and instead of it include a home tab. This button can be found on the far left of the browser window. But still it is unknown whether the Home Tab will involve dynamic content or it will be served as a home page for a user.
Probably Firefox 4 will have Web application tabs that will be used for specific Web apps, such as Windows Live Calendar, Twitter as well as Gmail.
Tabs on Top
Also the company is thinking about the inclusion of tabs in Firefox 4. With the help of them, thr browser window real estate will be maximized as at the same time it will minimize such user interface elements as buttons, application window, toolbars, etc.
Switch-to-tab
The switch-to-tab is a feature that can be seen in the forthcoming Firefox 3.7. It simplifies the navigation of multiple tabs.
