Actually, due to software updates, users can benefit good things. The new update of Nook comes with new features. But still there are several things that can be improved even further. As for software version 1.3 of Nook, few enhancements are offered.

When the Nook was first launched, it was slow and buggy. But to improve that B&N has been working on this and now the new version is offered with faster page turns. In case you use Wi-Fi, it won’t be cut, as now a Web browser is able to authenticate it.

The Nook is provided with a basic Web browser, available in beta version. Due to it users will be able to read some blogs as well as daily news. But it is Wi-Fi only.

Also the maker added two obvious time-wasters, such as Sudoku and Chess. Probably Amazon will include similar functionality to its Kindle, but still the Nook has the upper hand.

Now owners of the Nook are provided with an opportunity to read books they fail to buy. As a matter of fact, they will be able to get such book free of charge. The only thing that is required is to use Wi-Fi of the store. But this offer is limited, users can use it just one hour per day.

Among the new features that are now available for the Nook’s owners, B&N also expanded the menu of Nook. At present users are provided with the ability to drag a finger in order scroll through the touch screen of Nook, due to which you are able to see new options, including: Wi-Fi, Web, Games, as well as Audio. In fact, greater prominence is given to the music player.
