If the rumors hold true, Apple will be raising their App prices through their App Store when the iPad hits the markets on April 3rd. Though the price increase may not be extremely over the top, it is said that you can count on an increase from $0.99 to $4.99 for some titles. While there is no discounting the fact that iPhone apps and iPad apps require different amounts of time and effort, the users that are used to the prices for the iPhone apps might be a little disheartened when they see the same apps for the iPad with a higher price.
Prices Will Go Down
While there is most likely a price increase for being the first in line to buy a game for the iPad, you might want to hold off a bit until the price goes down some. With the iPad coming out in mere days, there is going to be a steady increase in the titles that are going to be released, and Apple is going to do its best to corner that specific part of the market, making as much money as possible. This is a reality that most people do not quite understand. Things are always more expensive when they first come out and will eventually drop to a more reasonable price once the novelty of a new release wears off a bit.
You have to admit though, if you already have a game on your iPhone that you play and you want it on your iPad as well, there should be some kind of a price deal because you already own it.
