Sanchez Energy (NYSE:SN) is higher in the after hours session after the company reported financial results for Q4 improved year-over-year, with record revenue growth, despite falling short of analysts’ expectations. Shares are up 1.22% at $29.90, with a 52-week range of $17.02 – $32.96.

The independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company reported Q4 adjusted earnings of $0.27 per share, compared with the prior-year period’s $0.05 per share. Revenue was $130.1 million, up 679% from $16.7 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $0.35 on revenues of $132.14 million.

In the quarter, Sanchez (NYSE:SN) reported record production of 1,731 MBOE, an increase of 60% over Q3 production and an increase of 904% over the same period a year ago.

RigNet (NASDAQ:RNET)’s revenue was $59.7 million, up 21.2% from $49.28 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $0.27 on revenues of $57.8 million.

RigNet Inc(NASDAQ:RNET)’s stock on March 5, 2014 was up 2.92% finishing with the closing price of $51.39. Its fifty two week range is $20.65 – $51.56. The company’s total market capitalization is currently $885.12 billion. The total volume in the last trading session reached 94,939 compared to it’s average volume of 55,306. The company has 17.22 million outstanding shares.

China New Borun (NYSE:BORN), which distributes corn-based alcohol in China, rallied nearly 16% in after-hours trade Wednesday after the company reported Q4 results. Total revenue increased 30.7% to RMB657.8 million ($107.9 million) from RMB503.4 million in Q4 2012.

Basic and diluted earnings per American Depositary Share were RMB1.18 ($0.19) for Q4 2013. Each ADS represents one of the company’s ordinary shares.

The Street estimates were not available for China New Borun (NYSE:BORN).

China New Borun Corp(NYSE:BORN)’s stock on March 5, 2014 soared 13.59% finishing with the closing price of $3.26. Its fifty two week range is $2.81 – $3.38.
