Thank you, Firefox

Mozilla’s-Firefox Even though a security patch for Firefox 3.6 was to be issued at the end of March, once the German Federal Office of Information Security issued a warning about a potential threat, Mozilla released its security update ahead of schedule. This just goes to show you that Mozilla’s Firefox browser takes their internet security seriously whenever a threat is detected by anyone. The German government also issued a warning in late January for Internet Explorer, but Microsoft was a bit slower to get a fix ready at that time.
Switching back?
While the security threat seems to only affect the latest version of Firefox, it isn’t regarded as being a good idea to switch back to a previous version of the browser. While older versions have different vulnerabilities, you could end up with a whole lot of issues, and that’s never pleasant. Take the time to do the updated security patch, and your browser should run just fine, and without any issues.

Another thing you should keep from doing is switching your web browser as a whole every time a security issue is found. If you are randomly swapping out browsers, it will only make the security issues become even more cumbersome. The best thing to do is to find a browser that you are comfortable with and stick to it. When a security issue is detected, go ahead and wait until the fix is issued to solve the problem. Even if that means giving up a bit of internet surfing from time to time until the patch is ready.
