High-growth Internet software and biotech companies were the darlings of 2013, but their shares started to fall sharply in early March. Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) stock finished the day at $6.05. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) is buying the mobile messaging app Blink. Terms of the deal, which was announced Wednesday on Blink’s website, are not being disclosed. Messages sent through the Blink app self-destruct after a certain amount of time. The app allows users to send texts, sketches, record audio, make videos and take photos. Its main rival is Snapchat, which Facebook reportedly tried to buy for $3 billion. Blink said it will shut down both the iOS and Android versions of the app in the coming weeks before the switchover. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) dropped -1.08 percent to $33.80 Thursday on volume of 18.88million shares. The intra-day range of the stock was $33.40 to $34.19. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has a market capitalization of $34.02billion.

Selling T-Mobile would put Deutsche Telekom in the footsteps of Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD), which divested its 45 percent stake in Verizon Wireless for $130 billion last year. Yet, unlike Vodafone, which owns assets in growing markets such as Africa and India, Deutsche Telekom would become fully exposed to weaknesses in Europe’s economies. Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD)’s stock on May 15, 2014 reported a decrease of -2.13% to the closing price of $36.28. Its fifty two weeks range is $35..01 -$72.55. The total market capitalization recorded $95.92billion. The overall volume in the last trading session was 12.03million shares. In its share capital, VOD has 2.67billion outstanding shares.

Microsoft Corp. product debut. CEO Satya Nadella will unveil a smaller Surface tablet running a Qualcomm processor as the company seeks to match rivals’ products such as Apple Inc.’s iPad mini and Amazon.com Inc.’s Kindle Fire. The company will also introduce a version of the Surface that uses an Intel Corp. On Thursday, shares of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) dropped -1.59% to close the day at $39.60. Company return on investment (ROI) is 22.60% and its monthly performance is recorded as 0.33%. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) quarterly revenue growth is 6.82%.

Shares of Micron Technology, Inc (NASDAQ:MU) saw a large decline in short interest during the month of April. As of April 30th, there was short interest totalling 113,706,078 shares, a decline of 1.5% from the April 15th total of 115,492,682 shares, American Banking and Market News reports. Based on an average trading volume of 33,780,099 shares, the short-interest ratio is presently 3.4 days. Approximately 10.8% of the shares of the stock are short sold. Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) stock performance was -3.72% in last session and finished the day at $25.86.
