Verizon Subscribers Would Switch to Other Carriers

Verizon-Subscribers-Would-Switch-to-Other-Carriers It turned out that Verizon subscribers are wiling to switch to an Apple handset. A survey was conducted according to which more than 4,000 consumers are ready to make use of the Apple’s iPhone in case the company opens up its mobile device to other providers.

19% of Verizon subscribers said they were ready to avail an iPhone if it was offered by the carrier. Another 34% said that they were likely to purchase the device. Actually, both numbers were higher than numbers of T-Mobile as well as Sprint subscribers.

According to Brian Marshall, a financial analyst, it would be beneficial for Verizon to get iPhone, as it will be able to sell about 11 million iPhones during the year.

Also the survey revealed opinions of U.S. consumers about their mobile carriers, the number of dropped calls for the last three months as well as if they are going to switch carriers.
You will be probably surprised but only 8% of AT&T’s consumers said that they were likely to switch to other carrier, almost the same was said by 14% of T-Mobile’s users and 10% of Sprint’s subscribers.

45% of respondents said that they are satisfied with the service of Verizon, the same was said by 15% of AT&T’s subscribers. Although the service of AT&T is awful, but still its subscribers say the following: ‘Don’t take away my iPhone.’

It turned out that there are a lot of complaints concerning dropped calls. It started to happen since apple rolled out the smartphone. Actually, performance of AT&T’s network is sub-standard. 4.5% of AT&T’s subscribers reported about dropped calls in the last 90 days. Only 1.5% of Verizon subscribers said that they came across dropped calls in the same period.

Despite a bad service of AT&T, users still take advantage of it, as the company has the main benefit, i.e. it offers Apple’s iPhones.
